a slang term to describe someone who is out of the closet; that is, someone who is open about their Queer sexuality or gender identity, typically with connotations of being completely unashamed with it, and/or more “open” or expressive about it than the average person may be.

Library.LGBT is an online resource surrounding Queer/LGBTQIA+ information, topics, health, history, and culture, and is an initiative of Albany Pride. Library.LGBT hopes to offer information that is valuable to both Queer and non-Queer people alike, to better understand our community, the identities within them, and our long and varied history. We want to provide information that is reliable and relevant, and above all, free to access and use.

Library.LGBT acknowledges the Minang People of the Noongar Nation, the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we work, and we pay respect to Elders past, present, and emerging across this great nation, and on the lands we call Australia.
